very helpful link about figuring out your correct bra size (and no measuring tape required!):
happy v-day! hope you all have lovely days, regardless of whether you're in a relationship or not. :)
on an unrelated note, here are some photos of a pair of socks i recently started.
no, it's not a mini beanie although it looks like it (and could be one!) i suppose. :D i'll post another pic once i turn the heel!
How have people mispronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?
Submitted by Lorie.
let's see, i'm not sure if these count as mispronunciations per se, but people frequently think my name is sarah, cara, carla, lara, tara, or claire. :P
a few weeks ago, during my morning commute, i found myself driving behind a beige camry LE with the vanity license plate CAMRY LE. i thought it was amusing because, well, it IS a CAMRY LE, and the letters fit so perfectly on the max-7-character california license plate (even with the tiny space in between the two words). ok, maybe i'm the only one (aside from the owner) who finds it amusing, but i don't care. :P i tried to take a picture, but another car merged in front of me and i had to take the next exit, so i lost the opportunity.
then, two nights ago, i was on my way home and once again espied the camry with the CAMRY LE license plate, right in front of me. unfortunately, it was dark and we were driving fairly fast so i knew a picture wouldn't turn out, but i was quite pleased to see it again. it was a bit of unexpected familiarity during my usual boring commute home. and then i mused, how many cars do i encounter on the road repeatedly and yet not recognize because the license plate isn't memorable?
yes, i am a dork. :P
yesterday, i made kim bap. it was my first time, but i think it came out pretty well! ok, the first roll i made wasn't that pretty, but after that i got the hang of it.
since kim bap is traditionally a snack or picnic food, i felt like i needed something else to go with it. the last time i was in LA, my mom gave me some dwenjang (bean paste, like a stronger version of miso) to take back with me so i can make dwenjang jjigae. so to go along with the kim bap, i whipped up some jjigae using some of the leftover ground beef, spinach, and also tofu. it was quick, easy, and yummy! i should make korean food more often. :)
my recent projects. actually the first two were ones i started a long time ago and never finished, so i'm determined to finish them now, and the third one is a scarf i just recently started when i decided i wanted to get 'crafty' again. ;) hehe.
Do you have any phobias?

the dark, bugs, and heights if there's real danger (like looking over the edge of a cliff with no railing)
*shudders*
some people get the week between christmas and new year off, but not i! but that's okay because i'm saving my vacation days for next year. :D the other good thing about this is that there is NO traffic during rush hour. even last night when it was raining like crazy and totally windy, i got home in 20 mins. :D
i stayed in the bay area for christmas, but i'll be going home for new year's. my mom informed me to bring enough cash to distribute during our annual "seh-beh" family gathering. yes, i now give out money to my little cousins instead of receiving money from my older relatives. it's been this way for a while, but i still feel like i'm a kid, not an adult. :P
happy holidays!
Have you ever secretly unwrapped a gift before the big day?

no... that would spoil the surprise! :P
